Peggy's Point Lighthouse was built in 1914 and replaced an old wooden lighthouse established in 1868 in the small fishing villiage of Peggy's Cove. The lighthouse marks the eastern limit of St. Margaret's Bay, and Peggy is a nickname for the saint. This whole area including the rocks and water is treacherous as the iron plate sign on the lighthouse warns: "Injury and Death have rewarded careless sightseers here. The ocean and rocks are treacherous. Savour the sea from a distance," it happily proclaims. There were about 75 visitors here at the time, and I was only able to remove them with tons of multiple exposures, combining several frames to clear the way and savour the landscape. :)
