John Fitzgerald Kennedy was born on May 29, 1917. He was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 1946 and to the U.S. Senate in 1952. In 1960, at the age of 43 he became the youngest President of the United States.

President Kennedy gave two speeches in Fort Worth. After an early morning rain he thanked his audience as he began his remarks "There are no faint hearts in Fort Worth".

"Later, at the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce breakfast in the hotel he delivered formal remarks centered on Fort Worth's historic and continuing role in national defense." This last partial quote is by Jim Wright, Fort Worth Congressman and Speaker of the United States House of Representatives.

On November 22, 1963 at 46 he was assassinated in Dallas, Texas.

Nearly all of our comments maybe found written on descriptive engravings found at this JFK Tribute site.

Life is too short. Make the most of it.
