Arguably the crowning glory of Britain's greatest Architect. William Henry Playfair was at his height when he designed the Donaldson's College in 1851, custom built, in the Gothic style, for Edinburgh's ground breaking school for the deaf.

It remained Edinburgh's school for the deaf until 2008 when the school was relocated to Linlithgow. Unfortunately the developer, who intended changing the use to residential flats, couldn't make the plans survive the global financial crash in the Autumn of that year.

Since then the building has remained empty, with a number of proposals as to how to re-use this gem in Edinburgh's crown. Behind the school, various 20th century extensions have been removed, leaving the Grade 1 Listed main building ready for its new life.

Equipment
4 GoPro HERO2 cameras, with a wooden camera cradle/rig to hold the cameras in exactly the correct position is triggered by 4 gentWIRE camera syncronisers. Suspended below a Dan Leigh Cruiser kite with 8ft/2.5m span.

This technique produces two hemispheres, and a different workflow in PTGui from the classic ground pano technique. This results in extra effort BUT impossible angles!
