In this part of Greece, southern Peloponnese, it has not been raining for 5 month (or more !). After a very hot summer in southern Europe, warm waters of the Ionian Sea combined to other weather phenomenas had been generating a tropical-like hurricane.
In a few minutes the sky - always blue here in Greece – was turning dark, a strong wind came up and it began to rain for three days.
Heavy rains and powerful wind : a really terrific three-days atmosphere.
Panorama was taken at the very beginning of the storm.
