Caption
Located off West 108th and Wadsworth Boulevard, this decaying old horse barn is a relic of an earlier era. The barn sits on about 30 acres north of Lower Church Lake. It is a surprisingly rural scene where prairie dog chirps intermingle with the sound of traffic from the nearby Denver Boulder Turnpike.

This property was acquired by the City of Westminster several years ago, and will be maintained as a public open space. But, judging by its deteriorating condition, it seems unlikely that this old barn will survive much longer.
