Taking a pano when it's still (nearly) night made me first think at a place in town with illumination all around.
But then the breaking of the day appeared as a perfect scene that is available in that way only for this wrinkle in time. So I got out of bed at 6 am (which was the first challenge, but then for a good shot ...), carried my equipment near the airport in the cold (about -8 °C/17 F) and shot. Airport security was observing me from behind the fence but did not interfere. Luckily there were two planes heading off during my 3 minutes shoot.
Shot with a Fuji S3Pro, Nikkor 10,5 mm fisheye and a selfmade panohead in Raw Mode. Converted with Adobe Bridge (PS Raw Converter). Stiched with PTGui/PanoTools/Enblend, retouched with Photoshop, converted to QT with PanoCube.
Apple Safari iOS devices: built-in web browser Android Tablets, Mobiles:Google Chrome strongly recommended. Warning: Panoramas are big pictures. Insufficient RAM may cause your browser to quit unexpectedly!
For some panoramas made before 2009:
