Exactly in between Bosnia and Montenegro, between two borderline checkpoints - Hum and Scepan Polje, under the bridge over the Tara Canyon, at the river side we found a wonderful place: rafting base on Tara river. A must stop for adventure loving adrenalin addicts. Extraordinary experience, fantastic people, great ambience and delicious organic food (grilled lamb from the village nearby, trouts from the river and more). Special thanks to Zoran - the most talented and open-hearted&minded chef de la cuisine in Montenegro! :-)

The Tara Canyon, as a unique natural phenomenon (deep from 1000 to 1300 metres) stands by its beauty right along the Grand Canyon of Colorado. It flows from the mouth of river Bistrica to Scepan Polje (N43 20.629, E18 50.658) in the longitude of 93 kilometres (78 kilometres cross the National park “Durmitor”).

Tara is an untouched natural oasis and reserve of many rare wildlife species. As a part of the National Park “Durmitor” it was included in the List of the world natural heritage. Rafting down the river Tara is an amazing experience for rafters, adventurers and nature admirer. Even if you don't raft, stop for a dinner and a cup of coffe. Try also the local rakija and other magic potions (warning: risk of staying in Scepan Polje for longer!).

Good luck, Zoran, Ljubo and other guys - you do a wonderful work!
