The dominating building in this panorama is Freiburg's municipal theater. Built at the beginning of the 20th century, it was destroyed by allied forces in 1944 and later reconstructed from the ruins. On the other side of the road lies the Square of the Old Synagogue. The synagogue was burned down by the Nazis on "Kristallnacht", the 9th November 1939.

The City of Freiburg plans to convert this square in the near future into an open pedestrian space without a deviding road. At the site of the Old Synagogue a memorial, indicating the ground-plan of the destroyed building, will be the center of the new square.
Equipment
Nikon Coolpix 5000, Nodal Ninja, Realviz Stitcher 5
