Giant Ledge is one of the most popular trails in the Catskill Park, providing incredible views on a hike that isn't overly long or strenuous. Hoping to avoid the crowds, I visited (somewhat late in the day) on a summer-like Wednesday in mid-October, and the parking lot was still full when I arrived. While peak foliage had already happened in this region, the color was still stunning, and the defoliated state of the tree cover allowed for more open vistas. The ledge has numerous overlooks, with the five largest numbered as such. This panorama was taken at ledge #4, one of the more popular (as evidenced by the fire ring.)
