The "Crescendo Youth Orchestra” is a small symphony orchestra founded in 2009, which is getting more and more relevance for its brilliant activity and quality in music education. Based in Gorgonzola (east of Milano), the Crescendo Youth Orchestra is at the same time the base and the apex of a more articulated educational music project for children and teenagers, directed by the renowned violist Judit Földes who is also the conductor of the orchestra. Its name “Crescendo” is not only to be intended in the sense of the musical term, but also as the Italian word for “growing up”. In fact, the goal of this project is to encourage every member’s personal growth, culture and self-confidence, and to make them share an artistic activity working in group in a very constructive atmosphere. The musical training is well structured and focused on the classic repertoire by the great Masters from Monteverdi up to Bartók. The study of it is exciting and effectively led by an experienced staff of extremely qualified instructors. This enables students to get in touch with beautiful music and to develop their own knowledge and personality. Every year the Crescendo Youth Orchestra prepares two or three different concert programmes, to be produced and performed in about ten-twelve concert performances throughout the year, in different places. Every summer, the Crescendo organizes also a one-week music campus for young musicians, located in beautiful places in Italy.
