In 1912 the Japanese gave the United States a gift of 3,000 cherry trees. This panorama is one of a series of nine taken on Sunday morning, March 18, 2012, between 8:00 and 10:00 am to commemorate the 100th anniversary of this gift that keeps on giving. The remaining eight panoramas can be seen on my website along with a series taken in April 2006 when the skies were blue.
