這是我自小就有印象的一個社區,社區的房舍有種植大樹木及花園,景觀設計很完美的花園,就像是一個森林花園,那時在高雄這樣的房舍是很少見的。一直到他已經荒廢的這幾年,我才知道設計者是國際著名的建築師 ... 貝律銘先生所設計的,有如蒙古包的造型,當時是高雄市的特殊景觀,附近居民稱之為「白厝」(意即白宮)。

這社區在 1965 年完成,在美國宣教士撤退之後(約1971年)逐漸沒落...
