The River Severn divides the South West of England (from Bristol up to Gloucester) from South Wales. This virtual panorama captues two of the UK's largest suspension bridges - the Severn Suspension Bridge (to the left) and the aptly named Second Severn Crossing (to the right), which as the name suggests, is the newer of the two.

Both are designed to carry road traffic, between England and South Wales, along the M4 and M48 motorways. They are on the direct route from London to Cardiff, the Welsh capital.

This panorama was captured just after sunrise on Tuesday 21st September 2004. It was worth getting my nice shoes caked in mud to get a good position on the 'dried' river bed.

Equipment
Canon G2 with Wide Angle Lens, RealViz Stitcher, Apple Quicktime Authoring Studio, Photoshop 7, Apple Mac G5
