Theme

The energy theme appears several times in the panorama you can see above:
  • The energy of flowing water is used to drive the water wheels of the hammer mill.
  • When the large hammer hits the ambos sound energy is produced. This makes an earsplitting noise. This sound can easily be heard outside the mill.

Trivia

The mill is located in the Ostrachtal, a valley near Bad Hindelang. The mill was built around 1500, thus it's about 500 years old. During the whole time it was used by blacksmiths. Even today it's operated. In former times the main products were different types of weapons, nowadays it changed to frying pans.
