The panorama shows the crossing of two means of transportation, a railway and a ski jumping hill. A third, a lift transporting the skiers up to the hilltop, is also visible.

The Bothnia Line is a railway under construction along the coast of the Gulf of Bothnia in northern Sweden. When ready a couple of years from now, it will speed up the communications but it is already boosting the construction business.

One result of the railway is a new ski jumping facility in Ornskoldsvik; the previous was in the way for the line and had to be replaced.

Örnsköldsvik and the club IF Friska Viljor Backhoppning now has one FIS certified K90 jumping hill plus three smaller hills for training. This is the base for the Swedish national team aiming for the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games.

The hills are covered with plastic which makes training and competing possible in the summer as well as in the winter.

In the panorama you can follow one jumper in three positions: Flying, just after landing, and slowing down. There are also ski jumpers in the lift returning to the hill top.
