Mortality is a state inherent to human beings. We just simply pass away, sooner or later, and can't really do anything about that. In any case, we can help to leave a memory or achievement for others to remember.A tradition that has always brought my attention is to name a palm tree (our local tree) in order to commemorate a passed away person.
This pano, captured inside the Municipal Park in Elche, shows a square whose main characteristic is that the palm trees that confine it are dedicated to some personalities who have been, somehow, important to the city.
This is, after all, a nice way to keep them alive for other generations to come.
