Heavy rains since winter of 2015 have been increasing the level of the lake upon about 3 to 4 meters destroying thousands of trees. The panorama was taken in a place where grew high secular trees, tall broad canopy-trees, which was called in greek “Chilia Dendra" Thousand trees due to the presence in the area of many impressive high trees, forming a really large and dense forest.
I did’nt come here to Chilia Dendra since three or four years; at this time the small house on the image was 50 meters away from the lake’s shore : now it’s washed by the waves !
One can easily realize the importance of such a climate disaster killing so fast the zone of a tight forest.
