Caption

The blue hour refers to the period of twilight each morning and evening when there is neither full daylight nor complete darkness. Despite of the name, the blue hour lasts a few minutes: it is a special moment to shoot stunning pictures, due to the smooth blending between the blue sky and the dim artificial lights.

For this year's contribution my attention focused on a subject very close to me: my home yard. It perfectly represents the relaxed and familiar mood of the days before the solstice and the Christmas day.
