Caption
In February of 2010, I traveled to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The flight was long and uncomfortable but I saw a beautiful city with impressive landscapes, beaches, and warm and colorful people. Without a doubt, it was a great trip.

This panorama was taken in front of the famous statue, Christ the Redeemer, on Corcovado Hill. This is a handheld panorama. As you can see, lifting of the hands is the popular way to pose in front of this world famous landmark. I felt lucky to capture this young couple recording memories of their trip. Although I will never know their names, they will always exemplify the joy that I also felt visiting Rio.

Wikepedia offers more information about Corcovado and The Christ the Redeemer statue.
