Best of 2013? Really? I guess this says a lot about the amount of panoramas I made that year (read: precious few, again …)
These two trees are illuminated from beneath by color-changing LED bars, alternating between red and white. Since the panorama is made from bracketed exposures that the camera took at 0.5, 2 and 8 seconds exposure time, the net result after fusing the pictures is the odd pink-speckled color that didn't exist on location, most noticeable in the tree towards the big yellow traffic sign. Note the equally impossible traffic lights, too.
Night scenes are a favorite of mine, mainly because of the wide range of colors. So, lacking any truly spectacular panorama from 2013, I declare this one my Best Of.
