Caption
"Bi de sibe Brünne" (translated "at the seven fountains") is a place near Lenk in the Bernese Oberland, at the foot of the Wildstrubel (3244 m) and just above the alpine pasture Retzliberg. Water is splashing out of a series of seven karst springs in the cliff. The water originates from the Retzliglacier, more than 1000 m higher up and finds its way through underground caverns to these springs. They form the source of the river Simme that flows through the Simme valley and finally into the lake of Thun.Location
