I had the fortune to draw some panoramas for the VR Documentary of The World War II Foundation Hold at All Costs (The Siege of Bastogne) directed by Uli Futschick.

My job was to create spherical painted panoramas starting from archival material, set by the director in a certain place. An archival picture covers a very small portion of the 360 space, it was my task to imagine and draw the rest.

This scene depicts the troops loading into trucks. The archival video is available at the US National Archive website (go to min 2:04). Can you spot where it was placed in the panorama?
