Celebrating Christmas and the Holiday Season
December features numerous religious holidays across various faiths, Christian celebrations include Christmas (Dec 25) and St. Nicholas Day (Dec 6), Judaism's Hanukkah (dates vary, often in Dec), Buddhism's Bodhi Day (Dec 8), and Zoroastrianism's Zarathosht Diso (Dec 26), alongside Pagan/Wiccan Yule and Catholic feasts like Our Lady of Guadalupe (Dec 12) and the Immaculate Conception (Dec 8).
Ottawa celebrates the holiday season with 300,000 festive lights displayed in locations around Parliament. This pano was shot in Confederation Park across from the Ottawa City Hall and the Province of Ontario Court House and Registry Office at the corner of Elgin Street and Laurier Avenue West.
