Although parts of the cathedral were constructed in 1380, it was extensively rebuilt in the 19th century, & it's appearnce from 1500 was largely maintained.
To the right of this are the buildings of Cheetham's School of Music, with the stone-built building (to the right of the trees) being Manchester Victoria railway station.
To the right of this, the glass building is the Urbis Centre -which is a museum & exhibition centre.
To the right of this is the 'Triangle Shoping Centre' housed in the 'Corn Exchange Building'. Although extensively damaged in the IRA bombing of 1996, the renovation has maintained it's 1903 appearance.
