Caption
Canberra's Lake Burley Griffin was established in 1963 and named after Walter Burley Griffin who won the design competition for the new bush capital of Australia. Its shore is peppered with a swag of public buildings and recreational walks.

From the eastern shore we look out to the Brindabella mountain range where evening cloud formations are disturbed and fingers of light allowed to push through and touch the surrounding landscape. My favourite is the black silhouette of the foreground that hints at the day just passed.
Equipment
Canon EOS 20D digital camera. Canon EF 20mm Lens (Equivalent 32mm). Kaidan QuickPan Panorama head. Image tweaking & stitching done with Photoshop & PhotoVista.
