Water, or rather the lack of water is a very current topic in Australia at the moment. As some of my fellow Australian panographers have pointed out - the dams which feed all major cities are far from full; often critically low.

Mundaring Weir requires another 7 meters of water in order to be full. Yours truly would have been very wet indeed when attempting to take this shot at 100% dam capacity. The dam is presently at 44 % and can fit another 36 giga litres.

In regards to the image itself, you may note the darker grey patches on the water which orginally struck me as rather odd - until I figured out I was looking at the reflection of the menacing clouds above. I like the way the clouds remind you of the much needed rain to come.

The month of June has been very good for rain and it has proven difficult of find a clear day during the WWP time slot to shoot. Alas you can see the result here and I hope you are as pleased with it as I am.
