A recent death in my family made me think, that a community is not a very static thing. Children will change the community in the future and the presence is influenced by it`s members of the past.

For that reason I visited the American Cemetery of Margraten, where 8302 American soldiers are buried, who fell in action during the push of the American Army to the German Ruhr and the Rhine in World War II.

On the 8 May 2005 the American President Bush visited this site for the celebration of the 60th anniversary of the liberation of Europe.
