Every photographer knows the importance of being on time to catch the light for the intended photo to be taken. This subject was chosen to show how time changes everything. I arrived at the Deer’s Mill Covered bridge just in time to witness the repairs being made from the damage caused by the raging waters and debris from the Winter and Spring storms. The flooding abated just in time to avoid a complete disaster and the possible loss of the bridge which was built in 1878 by J.J. Daniels over Sugar Creek. The Deer’s Mill bridge is a wooden structure and spans 319 feet.

Two centuries of bridge building are represented. The first is represented by the covered bridge and the second by the more modern concrete and steel bridge that is now in use.

Time changes everything.
