My grandpa, Heinrich Berkhauer, took the black-and-white photo 50 years ago with the Rolleiflex T, which can be seen in the panorama. "Michelstadt, summer 1962" was handwritten on the cover of the negative.

His passion was photography and he had a darkroom too. So I was introduced in taking photos, developing films and making black-and-white prints really early.

Well, time continued and now we have new options with digital photography and remapping them to panoramas on the computer. But the old cam is still working fine and finding the places where my grandpa took his old photos was a really interesting task of this WWP "Heritage".

I found some more places which were still acessible. They are on my homepage Kugelblick.de. Some others can not be taken today any more from the exact spot. Trees can grow high in fifty years ...
