Children living in the neighbourhood chose this place at a shallow branch of the river Würm as a small anchorage ground. Here they can exhibit their handicraft work produced at home while schools and kindergardens are closed due to the corona crisis.
This agglomeration of home built model boats, sailing ships, rafts, yachts and even pirate ships is a symbol for the desire of children to see signs of life outside their own family stuctures in a time of a general lockdown. It looks as if the children manufactured the sails out of fabric remnant left over from the production of face masks which turned out to be the the latest DIY trend.
