St Michel church is one of the few Romanesque churches built on an octagonal plan. It dates from the 12th century, and it may be associated with a shelter for pilgrims of St Jacques. Its rich history was revisited by the famous French architect Paul Abadie (Montmartre Sacré Coeur in Paris) who saved and restored it in the late 19th century. It's exceptional interior architecture and the luminosity of this church makes it a wonderful place for 360° panoramic photography.
