Turn your head and look up in the sky!

... and you will see a shooting star of the Perseid meteor shower. All the people around came to the higest point in this region, the Großer Feldberg, to watch the show.

All equipped with blankets and cameras, laying on the lawn and watchig the sky. A special and peacefull warm summer night.

The meteoroid in the zenith of my panorama was one of the brightest during my observation time. At 3:34 I caught it in a zenith shot with 20 seconds shutter time. (Of course I took more than one photo. Like the other people, I was laying on a blanket, watching the sky and taking one 20 second photo after the other with a remote control.)
After the bright shooting star, I took the normal panorama photos of the surroundings (same long shutter speed) and got a second meteroid near the tower by chance.

And now ...
Make a wish on a shooting star!
