360 degree panorama during the Target Holidazzle in downtown Minneapolis a day after the 2012 winter solstice. The parade runs 4 nights a week from Thanksgiving to Christmas.
I've shot 5 of these over the last ten years and have yet to get a decent shot of a float. They never stop, at least at any place I've been. The traffic lights at the intersections still work, but the parade movement is synchronized so the floats can keep rolling. I keep telling people that one year I'm going to push a doll in a baby stroller out in front of a float. ("My baby! My baby!)
And I wish they'd leave the street lights on during the parade so it would be easier to see the crowd. I'd rather have a good crowd panorama than a good Christmas float panorama!
