Sylt, the northernmost of the North Frisian Islands, has a very particular shape. The southern end is over a distance of 20 kilometers only about a kilometer wide, dunes, geestland and the tideland on one side of the road, dunes and the open sea on the other side.
It is supposed to be the island of the rich and the beautiful, but when you stay away from the villages it is just nature, and you are immersed in a dreamlike landscape.
