Jiancing Historic Trail
Jiancing is on the right bank of Dowan Creek and is an excellent vista point, you can look far into the distance on a sunny day after a long rain, even seeing all the way to the Lanyang Flats and Lanyang River.

Looking at the skyline afar a series of ranges is in view, the immense expansion of the Hsuehshan, Taoshan, Dabajianshan and Shengling (or Holy Ridge). All together, a series of 3,000+ meters-tall peaks forms a fine spectacle, with kaleidoscopic sea of clouds. These are the reasons why this place is called "Jiancing" (or "seeing clear").

The mountains are covered with snow in the depths of winter, when the ranges give the illusion of a silver-and-powder world. Indeed, Jiancing shines with a brilliant, majestic splendor.
