The flower mart is an industry icon. It sells to retailers in the very early morning hours then opens up to the public at 10:00am.
I arrived a little after 11:00 and was enchanted to find this great spot in front of an abundance of orchids.

I think it came to me about a week ago when discussing some plans for my wedding that the San Francisco flower market would be a perfect subject for the Equinox. As I thought about it more, visions of the begining credits in the film My Fair Lady swam in my head. Yes! the flower market, perfect! And if I don't think long and hard about this one Don Bain won't pick up on my thoughts.
