Caption
"Laiki agora" is the Greek term for the colorful, travelling farmers markets that visit different neighborhoods of Athens each day of the week. They come out of the darkness setting up shop at the crack of dawn, hauling freshly cut, ripened-to-perfection fruits, vegetables, produce, herbs, and flowers. As afternoon arrives and the weather gets hot, they disassemble their stands and disappear, only to offer a repeat performance the next day in another neighborhood. Visiting the "laiki" is an unfailing weekly ritual for the residents of Athens.
Equipment
