Caption
This pano has a couple of beginnings in it. This is photographed at a local public TV and radio station WITF (www.witf.org) in Harrisburg PA. I was contracted to photograph their new multi-million dollar building and it happened that on this evening we are shooting the TV studio before their live Thursday night TV show and it's in the window for this event. This is the beginning of the show where they test the camera, lighting, and microphones and check that everything is working properly. Since this is the beginning of the show, they have interns who are just beginning their life in the TV profession sit in for the guests who are yet to arrive. Since these are students who are just beginning this type of work, many have never been in a studio or on camera before. They use this beginning time to allow them to get the feel for the heat of the lights, speaking under these bright conditions, and allowing them to see what happens at the beginning of a TV show. This is the first step in the beginning of their possible careers in the TV industry.
