In German tidelands elevation is rare. When approaching from the countryside, the highest elevation is found at the bridges crossing the Kiel-Canal.
At Brunsbuettel you have a nice view over the countryside, the Kiel-Canal and the locks to the river Elbe.
You can´t see the tideland itself but you can imagine them at the horizont, where everything is flat and the seashore is in sight.
Ships are passing the Kiel-Canal quite often, sometimes huge dreamships like the "Norwegian Dream". But at this day it was nearly empty (at least when I was on the bridge) and I was lucky that a little freighter passed by, otherwise it would just be brown water underneath me.
It is one of my first pole-panos, to give it a little more dramatic view.

The friendly guys at the police-station accompanied me- it´s strongly forbidden to go onto the bridges and if someone who possibly passes by would have seen me - he immediately would have called the police with the case of possible suicide.
