Tower crane begins its daily work with the lifting of bunch of reinforcing bars. Information about the architect of this building is not available today. Will the new building decorate the city skyline ? Will it suffer the fate of the next building which quickly earned the nickname "kettle" ?On the left bank of the Neva several major landmarks of the Saint Petersburg are visible - Smolny Cathedral (by Francesco Bartolomeo Rastrelli) and churches of Saint Alexander Nevsky Lavra (by Domenico Trezzini and Pietro Antonio Trezzini and by Ivan Starov).
