History is the account written by the victor, lies and innuendo that by the defeated and legend emerges from interpretation by later generations.

What do these grave markers tell us? Only that the present generation thinks little of what is past, and scatters casually the truth of a former society. George Orwell in his book “1984” talked of a Ministry of Information that was charged with the policy of altering the facts to fit the present. We need to be on our guard that what our forebears created is not lost to modern expediency.

The industrial wall in the middle distance is what authorities considered a suitable destination for the memories of this graveyard.
