A wise diver knows his limits with respect to the strength and endurance to handle challenging situations such as strong currents, and the ability to function at depths which can induce nitrogen narcosis. Many divers have limits regarding their ability to control panicky or claustrophobic feelings.
Many of these imitations can be expanded or overcome with experience; others become more clearly defined by that same experience.
Taken on a dive trip to Cozumel with beginning scuba students, the dive boat shown here is setting out on the first night dive for these newly-qualified divers, an experience which will surely cause some to recognize and begin to overcome their personal limits.
