Not a lot of wood in shot, apart from the trees in the reclaimed Docks area, I'm afraid the aerial rig that took this image is made of wood, not the subject itself. See the Equipment section for details and links.

I couldn't resist this shot of the back yard of the Scottish Railway Preservation Society - keeping steam and other forms of railroad equipment alive. This is big engineering. As well as a museum and a working full gauge steam railway there are workshops and a place to store all those spare parts you might just need some day!

So here's the fun part, this shot is taken from almost exactly the same point above the yard as one I took 10 years earlier. From the ground it looks a mess, feels like nothings moved in 10 years, but from above its all a bit more subtle. You can see the difference 10years makes with this before-and-after panorama view.

Equipment

4 GoPro HERO2 cameras, with a wooden camera cradle/rig to hold the cameras in exactly the correct position is triggered by 4 gentWIRE camera syncronisers. Suspended below a Dan Leigh Cruiser kite with 8ft/2.5m span.

This technique produces two hemispheres, and a different workflow in PTGui from the classic ground pano technique. This results in extra effort BUT impossible angles!

See the rig, how Kite Aerial Photography is achieved, and the workflow.
