Future Clothes?  How about "T-Shirts on the vine"?  About 4 cotton plants are needed to produce 1 T-Shirt. One bale of cotton will make ~1200 T-Shirts.  One acre will produce 1.3-5 bales (varies).  The field on the west side of this panorama is ~125 acres.  That is a lot of T-Shirts.

Texas produces about 40% of the cotton in the United States.  The USA is the second largest cotton producer in the world and exports about 35% of the cotton in the global market.

This year's cotton crop is past the blooming stage and boll formation appears to be well underway.  These fields are about 5 miles west of our house in Lubbock, Texas and the weather conditions were ideal for an early morning drone flight to take a spherical panorama - - zero wind and plenty of evenly spaced small clouds to allow precise automatic sky alignment.  This exposure was made from an altitude of 50 feet.
